Kaiser navigates Ecclesiastes well, avoiding many of the interpretive mistakes that are quite common. Although brevity is one of this commentary's strengths, it does not come at the cost of superficiality. H

According to Dr. Kaiser, "Life with all its material and physical goods is a gift from God. But men and women are deliberately cut off from the enjoyment of this gift until they come to know that only God can fill that divinely created vacum ad hunger to know Him."
