As you know proverbs while full of great wisdom is sometimes hard to decipher. The author does an outstanding job of putting together the source of proverbs and explains how they came to be. The wording of proverbs is sometimes hard to understand as the text is full of figura|About the Author|Atkinson is retired as assistant bishop in Southwark Diocese. Previously, he served as fellow of Corpus Christi College in Oxford, England, archdeacon of Lewisham and bishop of Thetford. He is the author of several other books and commentaries.
